Chris Dewar

Design & Development Specialist / President

Chris Dewar has among the widest range of experience in the Ontario Bike Park design and development industry.  In addition to over a decade of multi-disciplinary riding experience, Chris has been a longstanding cycling advocate with professional experience as a design consultant, municipal employee and construction contractor.  Through these roles Chris has developed a comprehensive understanding of the entire development process, from consultation to site selection and analysis, conceptual and detailed design, agency approvals, contract tendering, construction and maintenance of over twenty bike park facilities.

Bryan King

Mountain Bike Facility Development Specialist

Bryan King is an MTB trail development specialist and cycling expert, with a range of skills from trail planning and design, heavy equipment operation, to hand finishing details and shaping finesse on a variety of projects including trails and pump tracks facilities. With decades of experience in a variety of cycling disciplines, he has refined his trail development skills to include the construction and maintenance of multiple MTB trail systems and pump tracks.

Bryan understands all aspects of trail development including planning and layout, drainage, grading, hand finishing, and emphasizes a highly flowing and functional trail alignment. He is a highly skilled excavator operator and shaper and an avid mountain biker, cycling expert and mechanically proficient with a variety machinery and equipment.

Laura Dewar

Planner

Laura Dewar is a registered professional planner with more than 12 years of experience in both public and private sector roles, with a focus on development planning, design and approvals.  Laura understands the development process on a range of facilities, including public consultation, conceptual and detailed design review and policy interpretation.  Laura graduated from Queens university with a Master of Urban and Regional Planning.

Simon Cox

BMX Site Manager

Simon Cox handles site development for BMX specific projects and is a skilled equipment operator and hand shaper.  He is a naturally gifted rider and trail builder who refined his abilities at the infamous Cox BMX Trails in addition to numerous job sites throughout Southern Ontario. With extensive experience in all levels of track construction and maintenance, Simon possesses the ability to build, shape and ride the biggest and most challenging features.  He is an asset to the Transitions team and has adapted his skills to the field of MTB trail development, providing a keen sense of detail and flow to enhance the user experience.

Matthew Meszaros

Track and Trail Building Specialist

Matt brings years of dedicated trail building experience, including the ongoing construction and perfection of a private trail facility, several pump tracks and municipal bike parks, and experience in the hand finishing of the Hockley Valley resort, Sault Ste Marie and the private Creekside MTB trails.  Matt is a skilled rider and builder and has proven to be adept at learning new skills including machine operations, MTB trail and bike parks building requirements, and pump track construction and hand finishing techniques. 

In addition to his positive attitude and work ethic, his keen eye and attention to detail serve as a valuable asset to our team in the development of both BMX and MTB trail facilities.
